My Platform if I am Elected

My Platform

I don’t believe in overcomplicating things.

I believe in identifying real problems, working hard, and delivering real solutions that make life better for the people of Calhoun County.

These are the priorities I will focus on:

Infrastructure That Works for Every Community

This is what I’ve done my entire career.

For more than 25 years, I’ve built roads, bridges, and infrastructure across Calhoun County. I understand how projects move from planning to completion, how to manage costs, and how to get results.

We need to continue improving roads, utilities, and infrastructure — not just in high-growth areas, but across Alexandria, Saks, Weaver, Webster’s Chapel, Wellington, and the entire county.

Good infrastructure supports economic growth, improves daily life, and prepares us for the future.

Accountability & Smart Use of Taxpayer Dollars

Taxpayer money should be handled with care and respect.

Through my experience on the Calhoun County Board of Education, I have helped oversee and manage multi-million-dollar budgets. I understand the responsibility that comes with that.

We need strong oversight, clear accountability, and leadership that makes decisions based on long-term benefit — not short-term convenience.

If something matters, it should be addressed from day one.

Protecting Funding for Our Schools

Our schools are one of the most important investments we make.

I fully support preserving the 1% sales tax that directly benefits our county school system. Having served 14 years on the Board of Education, I’ve seen how critical stable funding is for students, teachers, and long-term success.

We must continue investing in our children and protecting the resources that help them succeed.

Stronger Oversight of Sober Living Housing

Rehabilitation and sober living programs have a role in our communities — but they must be properly managed.

We need stronger regulation and oversight to ensure these facilities operate responsibly, protect surrounding neighborhoods, and truly serve the people they are meant to help.

This is about balance — supporting recovery while also protecting our communities.

Healthcare Access for All Communities

Access to healthcare should not depend on where you live.

We need to continue working toward stronger healthcare options across Calhoun County, especially in rural areas. That includes supporting partnerships, expanding services, and making sure no community is overlooked.

Expanding Mental Health Services

Mental health is an issue that affects families across our entire county.

We need to expand access to mental health services and ensure that individuals, families, and first responders have the support they need. This is not something we can ignore — it requires real attention and real solutions.

Support for First Responders & Public Safety

The men and women who serve our communities deserve our full support.

Through my involvement with ALEAF and years of working alongside local leaders, I understand the importance of strong relationships between leadership and first responders.

They are not adversaries — they are partners. And they deserve leadership that stands with them.

Real Leadership — Not the Status Quo

I’m not a status quo kind of person.

I bring a combination of real-world experience and public service — over a decade of elected leadership, hands-on infrastructure knowledge, and experience managing large budgets.

I’ve spent my life building things — and I know how to move projects forward, solve problems, and bring people together.

Building a Better Tomorrow

This platform isn’t about promises.

It’s about work.

And I’m ready to get started.
