As we close in on Election Day, I want to tell you about one more candidate who deserves your vote. This is less about politics and more about friendship. I’m not here to discount any other candidate. I simply want to share what Tobi Burt has meant to me personally. People often come up to me excited about things they see happening in our schools and in our ministry. But can I be honest for a minute? Politics is hard. Ministry is hard. Both can be painful, heavy, and at times, nasty. There is no way I could keep going without someone willing to stand in the fire with me — someone I can share my struggles with, without judgment or fear of repercussions. Tobi has been that friend and mentor for me. I have watched him get things done for people who may never say thank you. I’ve seen him move mountains for this community on the big stage, and I’ve also seen him quietly help one person behind the scenes when nobody else would ever know. Tobi Burt is a difference maker in every walk of life, and he has truly made a difference in mine. I am forever grateful for his friendship, mentorship, and the example he sets every single day. Everyone has the right to their own opinion and their own vote. But you cannot argue with my story. This is my testimony, and it is 100% true. Vote for Tobi on May 19th.
