Why I am Running for County Commissioner
Why I’m Running
I’m not running for a title.
I’m not running for a full-time job.
I’m running to serve.
This county has given me everything — my home, my livelihood, my opportunities. I’ve spent my life here building a business, raising a family, and serving wherever I could. And I’ve never believed in sitting on the sidelines when there’s more that can be done.
For the past 14 years on the Board of Education, I’ve done my best to serve the right way — with honesty, hard work, and a commitment to giving back. But I’ve also seen the limits of what that role allows.
I want to do more.
I want to take the experience I’ve gained — managing budgets, working with people, and building infrastructure — and use it to make a broader impact across all of Calhoun County.
Because I don’t believe in the status quo.
I believe we can do better — with stronger oversight, smarter planning, and real investment in our communities. I believe our rural areas deserve the same attention as our growing ones. I believe access to healthcare, support for our schools, and standing behind our first responders should never be an afterthought.
And I believe if something matters, you don’t wait until the end of a term to address it — you get to work on day one.
This campaign isn’t about politics for me.
It’s about service.
That’s why I’ve made the decision not to accept campaign donations. I don’t believe in taking from the people I’m asking to serve. I’ve been blessed in this life, and I believe giving back is the right way to lead.
At the end of the day, this comes down to something simple:
I know how to work.
I know how to build.
And I know how to get things done.
I’ve spent my life building roads, infrastructure, and opportunities — and I’m ready to keep building something even bigger for Calhoun County.
Not for recognition.
But because this is home.
And it always will be.
Building a Better Tomorrow.
